About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Gryphon Corporate Group Ltd. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Transaction Verification: Verify the accuracy of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Accounting System Maintenance: Maintain and update accounting systems, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and submit tax returns, including corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile accounts, analyze financial data, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in Simply Accounting and other accounting software.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and organized.
