About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Care and Fun Childcare Limited. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare and education to our young clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, and provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communication: Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to parents, and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Certifications: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Security Checks: Child Abuse Registry check, Vulnerable sector check.
