Our client, a prominent entity in the industry, has collaborated with David Aplin Group to recruit a Chief Financial Officer and Administration Executive. This position is based in a dynamic environment where you will play a crucial role as a key member of the Executive team, reporting directly to the President of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategic Direction:
- Work alongside the Senior Management team to establish and accomplish strategic goals.
- Provide mentorship, direction, and professional growth opportunities for direct reports.
- Oversee risk management and IT operations, including cybersecurity, while promoting continuous improvements in systems and processes.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and offer financial education and guidance to stakeholders.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and advice to the President and Senior Management team.
- Examine financial variances and supervise billing and account management.
- Ensure timely and precise financial reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Assist the sales team with data-driven pricing strategies and profitability evaluations.
- Optimize accounts receivable management to enhance cash flow and working capital.
- Guarantee the timely and accurate submission of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Cultivate strong relationships with the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
- Lead monthly forecasting processes and coordinate audit schedules and analyses.
- Manage mergers and acquisitions processes while ensuring compliance with governmental reporting requirements.
- Oversee profit-sharing, bonus programs, and commission calculations, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- A University degree accompanied by a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, or equivalent).
- 15+ years of extensive accounting experience.
- 10+ years of supervisory experience managing teams of 3 or more.
- Experience in a commission sales-based environment is advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial data and identify opportunities.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of individuals, including operations team members, Senior Management, and Board of Directors.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Office products, including Power BI or other data analytics tools.
- Business Acumen: Understands industry trends and market dynamics.
- Ethics and Integrity: Upholds ethical standards and acts with integrity in all interactions.
- Technical Expertise: Possesses advanced technical knowledge and skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Builds and maintains effective relationships, resolving conflicts diplomatically.
