Nursery Supervisor Job Description

Beech Nursery Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Nursery Supervisor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop and implement plans for labour and material requirements, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain work-related data, including staff performance and material usage.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support nursery operations.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Analyze and resolve work-related issues, providing expert advice to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise Nursery and Greenhouse Workers: Oversee the daily activities of nursery and greenhouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
