Position: Business Insights Analyst

Location: Ebury Toronto - 4 days in the office, 1 day from home office

Role Overview

As a Business Insights Analyst at Ebury Canada, you will be instrumental in aiding our sales division by delivering data-driven insights, refining sales methodologies, and executing strategies aimed at enhancing revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with local management, utilize data analytics tools, and assist in the formulation and implementation of sales enhancement initiatives. This position is based in our Toronto office, with collaboration across our regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Data Analysis: Gather, assess, and interpret sales data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancement. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor sales effectiveness and provide actionable insights to sales leadership.
  • Sales Process Improvement: Partner with the sales team to evaluate and refine current sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting. Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to streamline operations and boost productivity.
  • Sales Support: Assist in the creation and execution of sales support programs, including training materials, sales tools, and playbooks. Ensure sales representatives are equipped with the necessary resources to effectively engage prospects and finalize deals.
  • Data Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and presentations on sales performance, pipeline metrics, and revenue projections. Analyze data to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, customer segmentation, and cross-selling/up-selling strategies.
  • CRM Oversight: Manage and optimize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate and current customer and sales information. Provide training and support to the sales team on CRM best practices.
  • Sales Automation: Identify opportunities for automating sales processes and collaborate with the technology team to implement suitable tools and systems. Streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks to enhance sales team efficiency.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs. Provide insights to the sales team for improved targeting and differentiation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and finance, to align sales enhancement initiatives with overall business goals. Collaborate with sales managers to ensure effective execution and adoption of sales strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a sales analyst or in a similar capacity, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Salesforce, or comparable CRM systems.
  • Solid understanding of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and the lead-to-revenue process.
  • Experience with sales enablement tools and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proactive and self-driven with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams.
  • Additional language proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial products and markets is desirable.
