This is a remote position with BruntWork, a dynamic and growing architecture firm specializing in heritage buildings and adaptive reuse projects.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Architect to lead the design and execution of adaptive reuse projects for heritage buildings. As a key member of our team, you will work independently on diverse projects, blending historical preservation with contemporary design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead design and execution of adaptive reuse projects for heritage buildings
  • Craft detailed construction drawings using Revit and BIM 360
  • Work autonomously on projects with minimal supervision
  • Innovatively blend historical preservation with modern design elements
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed
  • Adapt designs to Canadian building practices and climate considerations
  • Collaborate remotely with firm owner and team members
  • Potential to contribute to social media content and firm marketing efforts

Requirements

  • Proven track record as an intermediate architect
  • Mastery of Revit and BIM 360
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods and practices
  • Experience with heritage buildings and adaptive reuse projects strongly preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Flexibility to adapt to different time zones
  • Familiarity with both residential and commercial projects
  • Passion for historical architecture and modern design integration
  • Ability to manage projects averaging around 4,000 square feet
  • Adaptability to use firm's software licenses during off-hours if needed
