Position Overview

As a Senior Procurement Specialist in the Aviation sector, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement of essential inventory for our rotary wing operations. This includes sourcing both specialized and non-specialized aviation components, materials, and equipment necessary for the maintenance of AW 169 rotary wing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of inventory required for aviation operations, ensuring compliance with the Maintenance Policy Manual.
  • Supplier Engagement: Proactively engage with suppliers to foster strong relationships, manage performance, and address any risks or improvement initiatives.
  • Parts Sourcing: Identify and source parts, materials, and tooling, ensuring proper documentation and collaboration with Aircraft Maintenance Organizations (AMOs).
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaise with suppliers regarding repair timelines and parts delivery, while monitoring requests and communicating any potential delays.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Maintain optimal stock levels and submit new suppliers for inclusion in the Authorized Supplier List.
  • Order Management: Create Purchase and Repair Orders using CAMP, the Maintenance Tracking Software, and collaborate with the Procurement team on Industrial and Financial System (IFS) Purchase Orders.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Develop and sustain close working relationships with aviation customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and reporting of KPIs.
  • Training Participation: Engage in assigned training programs, including Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, WHMIS, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree/diploma in a related field is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Aviation industry, with a solid understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations and parts certifications.
  • Experience in Aviation Stores and Purchasing.
  • WHMIS training is an asset (annual training is provided).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
