International Tax Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for tax compliance and optimization? Do you have experience with income tax provision and SAP S4 HANA functional areas? We are seeking a highly skilled International Tax Analyst to join our team at Air Canada.
About the Role:The International Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, testing, and deployment of business and system solutions related to Canadian income taxes and withholding taxes. This includes analyzing current income tax procedures and practices, identifying potential opportunities for improvement, and recommending changes to enhance tax management and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze current income tax procedures and practices to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement changes to enhance tax management and efficiency
- Support the configuration, testing, and implementation phases of tax-related projects
- Assist in identifying Canadian income tax-related risk items and proposing mitigation plans
- Document tax positions and processes, and develop training sessions for the department
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and income tax
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) is an asset
- Good knowledge of accounting cycle and IFRS accounting standards related to taxes
- Experience with income tax provision and integration of third-party income tax provision software
- Experience with SAP S4 HANA functional areas, data migration, and testing
