Job Title: Quoting Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Quoting Associate to join our team at LGC Group. As a Quoting Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely quotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify customer needs and provide quotations for products and services
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely quotations
  • Issue pricing for catalogue, non-bulk catalogue products, and solutions
  • Draft pricing for bulk and custom products
  • Input quotations into our database, including customer profile, pricing, availability, and payment terms
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to follow up on high-dollar value opportunities
  • Answer customer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
  • Escalate specific customer requests, such as NDAs, LOAs, and complaints
  • Prepare and manage timelines of assigned quotation requests
  • Run reports and metrics as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or Business, Supply Chain with relevant experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in a customer service role or equivalent
  • Experience in the Chemical industry is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and FileMaker Pro, with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and achieve results
Additional Information:
  • Work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team and Production Operations team to update the catalogue
  • Work closely with the Order Management team to ensure orders are converted from quotes
