We are currently in search of a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to enhance our sales team in Ontario. In this pivotal role, you will champion our commitment to the safety and security of our clients and team members. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, you will possess a strong background in New Client Prospecting and act as a trusted advisor to our customers. A passion for sales is essential for success in this role, along with the ability to envision comprehensive Integrated Security Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to broaden the client base and enhance revenue streams.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential clients.
- Industry Representation: Actively represent Kandor's interests at industry events.
- Proposal Management: Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of service quotes and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Networking Coordination: Organize internal and external stakeholder events to foster connections.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Essential Duties:
Prospecting:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to discover key opportunities that align with company goals.
- Introduce Kandor's services to qualified decision-makers.
- Analyze competitor operations to uncover potential leads.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expand relationships.
- Document and forecast all business development opportunities in the designated CRM.
Proposal Preparation:
- Monitor bid platforms for proposal opportunities.
- Lead mandatory meetings and site visits for tenders.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive proposals promptly.
- Work with internal teams to ensure accurate and well-crafted responses.
- Continuously innovate sales materials for future proposals.
Client Engagement:
- Schedule and engage in meaningful interactions with clients.
- Coordinate networking events with specific objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing to refresh engagement strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts to ensure proper fund allocation.
- Submit accurate commission and expense reports promptly.
- Organize and archive proposals for easy access and reference.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development and relationship management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks effectively.
