Join our dynamic team at CEDA as we expand our Operator workforce within the Pigging & Decoking division. As an Operator, you will collaborate with small teams of 4-8 individuals, engaging in physically demanding tasks that involve both rigging and operating specialized pigging machinery from a climate-controlled operator's cab. Your daily responsibilities will vary, with opportunities to work on diverse projects across the province and occasionally across Canada.
Our Operators play a crucial role in supporting refineries, petrochemical plants, and related industrial facilities by effectively cleaning pipes and pipelines using advanced mechanical pigging techniques.
Due to the project-based nature of our work, shift patterns can fluctuate significantly, offering numerous opportunities for overtime.

Flexibility is essential, as the nature of our work changes daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport equipment to and from client locations and company facilities as directed.
- Set up and operate specialized pigging machinery to maintain cleanliness in systems at various facilities.
- Provide mechanical troubleshooting support in the field to ensure the operational readiness of pigging equipment.
- Assist in the shop with mechanical support to repair and maintain equipment.
- Accurately complete daily driving and on-duty logs.
- Proactively meet and maintain all personal training requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with Supervisors, Project Managers, and Operations Managers to ensure understanding of work scope and readiness.
- Transport hoses, personal protective equipment (PPE), and tools to work sites.
- Complete necessary paperwork for projects and tasks.
- Focus on detail and ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely the first time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Class 1 license (capable of driving manual transmission) with no more than 5 demerits in the past 3 years is required.
- On-site training will be provided.
- H2S Alive and Standard First Aid certifications are beneficial but not mandatory; training will be available.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as both day and night shifts may be required.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude is advantageous but not essential.
- Commitment to safety regarding personnel and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
- A collaborative spirit, enjoying teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
