We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team at Elby Professional Recruitment Inc. This role will report to the CFO and be responsible for managing the accounting month-end, financial statements, and project accounting.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the month-end process, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Oversee the monthly project draw process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor and forecast budgets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to analyze project financials and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with management to oversee strategic plans and contribute to the growth of the team and company.
- Lead and manage accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- CPA designation or close to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate financials to non-finance stakeholders.
