Position Overview: Maintenance Engineer – 4th Class Power Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service with professionalism and friendliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Complete assigned maintenance tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  • Monitor and record readings from various systems including boilers and chillers.
  • Identify and address safety concerns throughout the property.
  • Assist guests with inquiries regarding facilities in a helpful manner.
  • Support energy management initiatives aligned with company standards.
  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and colleagues to resolve issues.
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service at all times.
  • Participate in health and safety programs and initiatives.
  • Engage in sustainability efforts and promote environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on projects and renovations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Level 4 Power Engineer Certificate is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is advantageous.
  • Pool operator certification or relevant experience is a strong asset.
  • Additional trade qualifications such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical are beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related software.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems and building automation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physically fit and well-groomed, capable of meeting job demands.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 30lbs.
  • Capability to kneel, push, pull, and bend as needed.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders and stairs.

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
