Key Responsibilities- Ensure the supported child's rights and choices are respected and advocate as needed
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the child, their family, and other stakeholders
- Participate in the development, implementation, and documentation of Personal Service Plans
- Assist with daily living activities, medication administration, and light housekeeping duties
- Record daily activity and personal health information (PHI) on our case management database
- Grade 12 education
- Child and Youth Care Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community social services working with youth experiencing significant mental health, substance use, and/or concurrent disorder challenges
- Experience in Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Recovery-Oriented Care
- Current Emergency First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates
- Previous behaviour management course/training
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal & written) with team members, professionals, families, and community members
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Satisfactory Driver's Abstract & reliable vehicle with $2,000,000 third-party liability insurance
- Criminal record clearance for children and vulnerable adults
- Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) HUB clearance
- TB Test
- Moderate computer literacy
- Competitive Salary: $27.54– $31.61 per hour
