We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at DK Furniture Company. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our woodworking projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and ensure that all projects meet our company's standards.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Installation and Maintenance: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
- Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations and levels, and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Environment: On the road job, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physically demanding tasks.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
