Maintenance Supervisor

Sofina Foods is a leading manufacturer of protein products, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for promoting excellence in all maintenance activities, leading a team of maintenance staff, and ensuring the maintenance department and processes are streamlined and monitored.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of maintenance staff responsible for equipment repairs and installations.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing maintenance and repair services, including work orders, and review needs with management staff.
- Develop and manage annual maintenance/engineering costs, analyzing opportunities for savings, and ensuring adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Administer the Preventative Maintenance Program, focusing on preventing equipment breakdown, including inspections, delegation of maintenance activities, and allocation of resources.
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff, including hiring, reviewing performance, providing feedback, determining training and development needs, and coaching and work direction.
- Ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently, maximizing equipment life and reducing the risk of failure, and working with Health & Safety to resolve deficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and throughputs, analyzing downtime and inefficient operations, and sourcing and supervising third-party contractors for repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities, and review and complete documentation/records for Quality Assurance and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with key department stakeholders to understand production/maintenance objectives and deliverables, and communicate and coordinate regularly on maintenance project status.
- Manage capital projects, including AFE proposal, vendor selection, and coordination of activities and personnel.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in a trade-oriented function.
- Licensed in Electrical or Mechanical Trade.
- Working knowledge of CAD System and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong project Supervisor skills in planning, scheduling, assigning, and communication.
- Hands-on individual with proven ability to provide leadership and direction to the maintenance department workforce.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
