Network Systems Software Engineer

Arista Networks is a leading provider of data-driven, client-to-cloud networking solutions for large data center, campus, and routing environments. We're seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Software Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop novel features for managing hardware components on switches and routers.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to create optimal software control interfaces for managing hardware components.
- Work with Customer Support Engineers and customers to analyze, mitigate, and fix problems in customer networks.
- Develop and maintain features using C, C++, and Python, review and contribute to functional and design specifications.
- Build automated tests and test infrastructure to test the features.
- BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
- Knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus.
- Experience working with low-level hardware components is a plus.
- Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design a solution and implement features independently.
- Ability to work in small teams.
Arista Networks offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $145,000, depending on location and experience. We also offer benefits, including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
