About the Role:

Sunwing is seeking a skilled Crew Scheduler to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a Crew Scheduler, you will be responsible for ensuring all pairings are staffed safely and efficiently in a timely manner, while complying with government regulations and collective agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate crew schedule legalities and amend as necessary.
  • Ensure legal and timely staffing of all flights in relation to government regulations and Sunwing working conditions.
  • Provide effective and timely communication with all Crew Members regarding schedule changes, flight assignments, and delays.
  • Incorporate safety guidelines and policies into all functions of the position.
  • Liaise with the applicable training department to notify of disruptions.
  • Work with your team to solve arising operational issues as quickly as possible.
  • Apply and relay information regarding the application of Crew Agreements and Regulations.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities to achieve on-time operational performance in concert with other operational areas.
  • Provide feedback for process change for continuous improvement for Crew Scheduling activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in an office environment located near Pearson Airport.
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Flexible schedule; Days and nights, rotational shift work (4 days on, 4 days off).
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and work with different personality types.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Previous airline operational experience, an asset.
