As a key member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing care to diverse populations. The RN employs critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across various settings.

About the Role

The RN is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and directing nursing care, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Providing clinical leadership in complex patient care scenarios.
  • Implementing evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Mentoring and supporting nursing students and colleagues.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing competencies.
Qualifications

We invite applications from candidates who possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program and eligibility for registration in Nova Scotia.
  • Experience in medical/surgical/neuro critical care nursing is preferred.
  • Completion of a Critical Care nursing program or equivalent is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Competency in additional languages, particularly French, is advantageous.
Work Schedule

This is a permanent full-time position, requiring a commitment of 75 hours bi-weekly, with shifts that may include days, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $49.01 to $50.73 based on years of experience. Successful candidates will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
