Job Summary

The Master Planner plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by developing production schedules, managing inventory, and coordinating raw material availability in a multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
  • Collaborate with customers to determine weekly inbound forecasts and develop consumption models to improve accuracy.
  • Establish key performance indicators for forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate feedback to functional managers and track forecast performance.
  • Schedule demand based on product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to the customer service team across multiple product lines.
  • Assemble master schedule reports on performance against business plans, shipment plans, inventory plans, and production plans.
  • Provide input to Finance on operating plans for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, concerning incoming volume and capacity.
  • Identify current planned demand and create tactical production plans to meet customer demand.
  • Calculate production lead times.
  • Establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics.
  • Adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant Supply Chain planning experience.
  • At least 3 years as a Master Planner.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning.
  • Bilingual; excellent communication skills in both English and French.
  • Proven track record of improving process efficiencies and as a change agent.
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds to deliver business objectives.
  • Experience in fast-paced and growth-oriented environments.
