Regulatory Reporting Role

As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a critical role in delivering robust and efficient reporting within multiple jurisdictions. This position provides hands-on experience within the regulatory reporting team on daily regulatory reporting obligations, control and oversight, monthly client deliverables, and quarterly regulatory filings under a broad range of regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily transaction reporting processes across various regulations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Undertake regular oversight processes over transaction reporting obligations
  • Investigate reporting issues and develop solutions to address them at source
  • Liaise with vendors, trading counterparties, and internal stakeholders to resolve reporting issues
  • Help produce metrics to determine the overall health of the regulatory reporting process
  • Assist in the filing of periodic regulatory reports
  • Support the team in project-related work as required
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the reporting infrastructure
Requirements
  • Experience with EMIR, MiFIR, ASIC, and/or SFTR reporting
  • Functional understanding of UK and European regulations
  • Functional understanding of different asset classes and instrument types
  • Solution-focused individual with a desire to use their own initiative
  • Analytical ability to investigate and triage reporting exceptions/validations
  • Excellent organisational skills
