Director of Engineering

Located in the heart of the city, our client is a luxury property seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee and enhance the maintenance and operational efficiency of their hotel.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and implement innovative solutions to uphold the hotel's high standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed and adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Act as the Director of Engineering in their absence and collaborate with the Executive Team to achieve the hotel's goals.
  • Oversee the hotel's maintenance and preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain division standards and control objectives.
  • Establish and implement annual objectives for the Engineering department.
  • Provide continuous training and development to ensure team skills are up to date.
  • Respond to daily work orders promptly, ensuring proper follow-up and completion.
Requirements:
  • Minimum years of experience in a similar position for a luxury property.
  • Strong familiarity with project management and collaborative software.
  • Proven knowledge of a variety of heating and cooling systems.
  • Ability to design and implement operating standards and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, fire and local mechanical codes.
