About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Manulife Insurance Malaysia. As a key member of our Data and Analytics Platforms team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud automation workflows and blueprints
  • Provision and configure cloud platforms, including infrastructure as code (IaC) management
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and logging engineering for cloud areas, including end-to-end monitoring and dashboard reporting
  • Build and maintain platform automation and scripting for runbooks, supporting 7x24 operations and monitoring teams
  • Conduct testing, runbook, and packaging for cloud service offerings to business users
  • Plan and implement vital controls and activities for infrastructure and platform changes
  • Assist in capacity planning for resources and report to management as needed
  • Support the architecture team in designing and configuring data and analytics landscapes
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in leading large implementations of related technologies
  • Expertise in DevOps tools, IaC programming (Terraform, Python, PowerShell), and common CICD pipelines (Github Actions, Jenkins)
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining large-scale data and analytics systems
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services provisioning, security concepts, and standard methodologies for IaaS and PaaS models
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming languages (Python, batch, PowerShell, shell script)
  • Solid understanding of risk, security, and compliance requirements and standard methodologies
  • Good understanding of networking infrastructure and network troubleshooting
  • Passion for adopting and testing cloud and new IT technologies
  • Solid understanding of project scheduling and task-driven project work
  • Strong communication and technical skills, with prior experience in mentoring teams and working in process-driven environments
