Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing their needs and collaborating with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' conditions, using your expertise and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to educate them about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, promoting patient empowerment and autonomy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies that enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding and promote a culture of respect and empathy.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
