Job Title: Scientist II

We are seeking an exceptional Scientist II to join our team at the University Health Network (UHN). As a leading research institution, UHN is committed to advancing healthcare through innovative research and education.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and maintaining an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber. This will involve teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as contributing to the academic and research community at the University of Toronto.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a research program in neuroscience, with a focus on neural circuits, systems neuroscience, and plasticity.
  • Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including developing and delivering course materials.
  • Contribute to the academic and research community at the University of Toronto, including participating in departmental and faculty meetings.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline, with significant postdoctoral research experience and an established record of research excellence.
  • Demonstrated evidence of peer-reviewed publications, successful research funding, and presentations at significant conferences.
  • Expertise in developing cutting-edge technologies and strengths in the areas of neural circuits, systems neuroscience, and plasticity.
