Job Title: Scientist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist II to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for initiating and maintaining an original, competitive, and independently funded research program of international caliber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a research program in neuroscience, with a focus on neural circuits, systems neuroscience, and plasticity.
  • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and mentor students in research projects.
  • Qualify for an academic cross-appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline, with significant postdoctoral research experience and an established record of research excellence.
  • Demonstrate evidence of peer-reviewed publications, successful research funding, and presentations at significant conferences.
  • Expertise in developing cutting-edge technologies and strengths in neural circuits, systems neuroscience, and plasticity.
