Lead and Inspire Student Success in Yukon's Education System

The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to guide our Student Support Services team. This vital role will shape the educational landscape for Yukon students by fostering inclusive learning environments and empowering those with diverse needs.

As Director, you will champion a collaborative approach, working closely with educators, families, and community partners to develop and implement innovative programs that meet the unique requirements of each student. Your expertise in special education and educational administration will be instrumental in driving positive change and ensuring equitable access to quality learning opportunities for all Yukoners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of dedicated support professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive student support programs that address the diverse needs of learners across the Yukon territory.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with educational goals and policies, incorporating First Nations perspectives and practices into program design and delivery.
  • Oversee the evaluation and refinement of existing programs, ensuring their effectiveness in supporting student success and well-being.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, educators, and community organizations to create a supportive network for students.
