The role of a Sanitation and Maintenance Worker at E&M Maintenance Services LTD involves ensuring cleanliness and functionality within various facilities. This position is crucial for maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning Duties: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to uphold hygiene standards.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly to promote cleanliness.
- Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a polished appearance.
- Maintenance Tasks: Make adjustments and perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with tradespersons for major repairs.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct other maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to ensure facilities are in top condition.
- Restroom Sanitation: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Independent Work: Operate with minimal supervision to effectively manage assigned tasks.
- Snow and Ice Removal: Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safety during winter months.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Employment Type: Permanent position.
- Language: English is the primary working language.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
