Job OverviewThe Maintenance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Mobile Maintenance team at the Ekati mine site. Working a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting technicians in a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Aid in maintaining a clean and organized shop area, including sweeping floors and emptying receptacles.
- Deliver and collect parts around the site.
- Wash equipment prior to servicing.
- Move major components to designated locations.
- Assist mechanics with various tasks as required.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor.
- Capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in mining or mobile maintenance is an asset.
