Job Summary

Sutherland Automotive is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up and deliver various items and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Safely operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to our central dispatch team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Transportation of Hazardous Materials: Transport and handle dangerous goods safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe handling.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Driving Record: Have a clean driving record, with no major infractions.
  • Vehicle Supply: The vehicle will be supplied by Sutherland Automotive.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
Work Environment
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically Demanding: The job requires physical stamina, with frequent lifting and handling of heavy loads.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Be able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
