Transportation Operations Specialist

Cardinal Health Canada is seeking a dedicated Transportation Operations Specialist to join our Dorval Operations Control Center (OCC).

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of orders and shipment coordination. You will collaborate closely with the Operations team to maintain optimal workflow and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of orders and prioritize their processing within the Operations department.
  • Select suitable carriers for each order based on specific requirements and delivery needs.
  • Develop efficient delivery routes for our Private Fleet operations, optimizing transportation resources.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, customer service) and external partners (carriers, suppliers).
  • Provide timely and professional support to customers regarding transportation-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Track shipment progress meticulously and generate all necessary documentation for accurate record-keeping.
  • Supervise and guide the tasks of the OCC team members as needed, ensuring adherence to established procedures and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation and shipping operations.
  • Fluency in both English and French is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Law 430 regulations pertaining to heavy vehicles is required.
  • Proficiency in JDE, AIMS, and Tecsys systems is a valuable asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations.
