The HVAC Sales Representative is a key member of our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions, responsible for managing projects and driving sales growth. This role will involve a mix of inside and outside sales duties, requiring strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a desire to learn.
Primary Responsibilities- Negotiate and close deals, staying up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity.
- Provide feedback to the estimating team on bids and pricing, including workload forecasting and project management.
- Offer design assistance to engineers on product selection and project layout.
- Review purchase orders and bid documents to optimize profitability, ensuring accurate pricing and IFC review.
- Create PBY files for the support team to issue submittals, and create submittals in the absence of the project manager or support team.
- Process orders from the customer list in the absence of the support team, after receipt of approved submittals.
- Manage and process change orders and site instructions, including pricing and resolving discrepancies with customers.
- Track orders and deliveries, providing ETA to customers and notifying them when orders arrive.
- Closing out projects once complete, fully invoiced, and maintenance documentation submitted.
- Provide quoted jobs not listed on the bid boards, including email requests, and enter quotes with proper association to product codes.
- Train staff in all phases of the sales process to ensure continuation of expected service levels.
- Provide outstanding customer service, with a customer-first approach to business.
- Consistently improve the quality of service to meet client expectations and minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position.
- Ensure adequate service levels and conduct review studies to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to hold team members accountable.
- Self-educate and attend manufacturer's factory/training visits to ensure up-to-date knowledge on the latest product developments and software tools.
- Build sustainable customer relationships and trust through open communication.
- Represent the company at site meetings as required.
- Assist in all customer events as required, such as open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (inside or outside sales).
- University degree or college diploma is an asset.
- HVAC experience is required.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
- Ready to bring positivity, energy, and enthusiasm into the workplace.
- Professional approach to business and the workplace.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure unsupervised.
- Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
