Job Summary

Bizi Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods and materials over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Transport Goods and Materials: Transport goods and materials over long distances, following established routes and schedules.
  • Oversee Vehicle Condition: Regularly inspect the vehicle's tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs to ensure the vehicle can continue to operate safely.
  • Record and Report: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and report any issues or concerns to central dispatch.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a truck driver, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Various locations, including long-haul routes.

  • Physical Demands: The job requires sitting for long periods, attention to detail, and physical demands such as lifting and bending.
