About the Role:

Erie Shores HealthCare is seeking a skilled Perioperative Care Specialist to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes across a wide range of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery, obstetrics, and other medical procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed during surgery.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care to patients.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities.

Requirements:

  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • CCFP (FP-A) or FRCPC certification.
