Course-Based Laboratory Instructor

Job Summary:

The Department of Chemistry at Brandon University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Course-Based Laboratory Instructor to teach various laboratory courses in the Fall and Winter semesters. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality laboratory instruction, preparing laboratory materials, and supervising laboratory markers.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality laboratory instruction to students
  • Prepare all laboratory materials, including consumables, samples, solutions, and equipment
  • Supervise laboratory markers and ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment
  • Coordinate with course instructors to ensure effective laboratory assessment
  • Develop and implement laboratory experiments and activities
Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field. Applicants with a BSc and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will possess strong teaching, communication, and organizational skills, as well as evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $6901 per 3 credit hour course. The successful candidate will also be eligible for benefits and other perks.
