Job Title: Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

At Shared Health, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct care and support to patients, including assistance with daily living activities, therapeutic interventions, and recreational activities.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting patient autonomy and dignity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health care.
Requirements:
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate records.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
