Field Technician - Refrigeration and Commercial Kitchen Equipment

Action Restaurant Services Ltd. is a leading Canadian-owned foodservice repair and installation company serving Southern Ontario for over 40 years. We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer service calls and perform routine and preventative maintenance or installations as required.
  • Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen refrigeration equipment, inspecting equipment and components to ensure safe operation.
  • Work independently, maintain a personal schedule, and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Maintain company service vehicles, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary tools.
  • Perform manual tasks such as bending, reaching, standing, lifting, or carrying up to 60 lbs.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of field experience in commercial food equipment refrigeration.
  • Gas fitter 2 certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with demonstrated diagnostic ability.
  • Good oral communication and customer service skills.
  • Availability for some overtime and occasional weekend call-out duties.
  • Comfortable with current software and computer programs.
  • CFESA training or prepared to attend local or out-of-town factory training.
