Job Description

CIMA+ is a leading engineering firm with a strong presence in Eastern Canada and a growing footprint in Western Canada. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team.

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including mixed-use buildings, tenant improvement renovations, and equipment replacement projects. You will assist in the design, modeling, and drafting of HVAC and building plumbing systems, as well as fire protection systems and HVAC control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and modeling of HVAC and building plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Conduct design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
  • Implement redline markups from engineers
  • Assist in report writing and budget costing
  • Coordinate with electrical engineering staff
  • Participate in site visits to survey existing conditions and document ongoing construction

Qualifications:

  • Student, presently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology program in Mechanical or Buildings Engineering
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems
  • A desire to learn and continually develop
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in working and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Valid driver's licence

The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
