We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Installer to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
Work SettingOur Sheet Metal Installer will work in various locations, including urban areas, and will be required to travel to different sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working in installation, repair, and on-site fabrication.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule work and instruct apprentices
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
The successful candidate will hold a Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification and a Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate.
Specialization or ExperienceWe are looking for candidates with experience in air volume (VAC), dust and fume collection systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and humidifier systems.
Security and SafetyOur Sheet Metal Installer will be required to undergo a criminal record check, a driver's validity license check, and a drug test.
Transportation and TravelThe successful candidate will require a valid driver's license and will be provided with a vehicle by the employer.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThe job requires physical demands, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
Personal SuitabilityWe are looking for a dependable, organized, and team-oriented individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
