Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a Relief Part Time LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring patient involvement and respect for personal choices.
- Provide nursing care according to identified policies and procedures, technology, and FHA standards, evaluating outcomes and recording observations.
- Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients according to agency operating policies and procedures.
- Document and update all relevant care and procedure information to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain effective functioning equipment related to patient care.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities, education sessions, team conferences, meetings, and committees.
- Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
- Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM, including administering medications.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
