Job Title: Senior Interior Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team at LT Custom Homes. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading our design team in creating innovative and functional interior spaces for our residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement design concepts and plans for interior spaces, including conceptual design plans and mood boards.
  • Translate design intent into technical drawing packages and documents, including 2D and 3D drawing packages.
  • Review and modify drawings as projects progress, ensuring revisions and required site conditions are addressed.
  • Communicate with trade and supplier teams on revisions and scope changes.
  • Work independently on all phases of design, from initial client meetings to specifications, drawings, and coordination of installation with field staff and trade and supplier teams.
  • Generate plan specifications based on client needs and project requirements.
  • Source and specify interior and exterior materials and products, working with vendors and suppliers for pricing, assessing lead times, and communicating back to design and build teams.
  • Input design selections into project management software, CoConstruct.
  • Perform project administration and general administrative duties.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Alberta Building Code.
  • Minimum CAD working experience, Revit also preferred but not a requirement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project deadlines.
  • Degree or Diploma in 3+ year Interior Design or Technician program.
  • Minimum of 7+ years post-graduation working experience.
  • Knowledge of design requirements and construction methods.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with good follow-through skills, the ability to work independently and lead junior team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional client care and communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Discretion, integrity, and trust with confidential client information.
  • Reliable car and able to make daily site visits and run errands.
