About the Role:
Centric Brands is seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join our team in Montreal. As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our fashion products, working closely with our design, graphic design, and production teams to bring our designs to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical sketches of clothing items, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the design team to create prototypes and samples, implementing any necessary changes.
- Ensure accurate communication of garment construction details to vendors through technical packs and recaps.
- Maintain and update technical packs and recaps, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, graphic design, and production.
- Enter styles into the style library and manage the style database.
- Coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of parcels and samples.
- Provide support to the design and graphic design teams as needed.
- Follow up on various matters from team meetings and ensure all tasks are completed.
Requirements:
- Proactive attitude, resourceful, and responsible.
- Highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic individual.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Fashion design diploma required.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role in the garment industry and/or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Skills with PLM are an asset.
