C.O.R.E. Services is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Apparatus Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus, including transformers, motors, VFDs, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Component Replacement: Replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Troubleshooting and Testing: Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs, and test for malfunctions and verify repairs, to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- Mechanical and Hydraulic Repair: Troubleshoot and/or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Familiar with WHMIS, GMP's, and good health and safety work practices, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Technical Expertise: Good working knowledge of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers, and the ability to install and repair electrical systems and apparatus, as well as electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in electrical engineering or a related field an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and electrical apparatus.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
