Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at Oil City Ready Mix Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in various aspects of construction site operations, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the construction site.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Help mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites under the guidance of experienced personnel.
  • Support Framing and Building Activities: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs as part of the construction process.
  • Level Earth and Clean Up: Level earth to fine grade specifications and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on the construction site.
  • Remove Debris and Tend Equipment: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Weight Handling: Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a permanent employment opportunity.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
