Pharmacy Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at The North West Company. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Perform computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist, including data entry, price checks, and report generation.
- Fill prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist or Regulated Pharmacy Technician.
- Assist with inventory control, maintaining stock levels of drugs and supplies.
- Support the Pharmacist in maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Assistant is considered an asset.
- 2-3 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume dispensary or Central Fill environment.
- Experience with Medical Services & Equipment, report generation, and pharmacy software programs.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrated customer service experience, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
