Overview

The Ontario Region Claims Team is expanding. As a Commercial Claims Consultant, reporting to the Director of Commercial Claims, you will deliver exceptional claims service and advocacy to GGB clients, consistently upholding and surpassing the service standards of our Claims division. Your insight and integrity are essential to thrive within our dynamic team.

How you'll make an impact
  • Manage the intake of new claims from commercial clients and report to the insurance provider.
  • Offer claims guidance to insured parties in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Advocate for clients during claims processes with insurers as necessary.
  • Input data using the EPIC Broker Management System.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and update client documentation, including Word summaries and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Lead analysis meetings regarding claims with commercial clients and/or the Client Solutions Team.
  • Collaborate with the Client Solutions Team, adjusters, and insured parties regarding ongoing claims.
  • Work with Loss Control Adjusters to develop or enhance existing programs.
  • Act as a liaison between insured parties and insurance carriers during settlement discussions when needed.
  • Ensure timely documentation and action on incoming communications.
  • Attend client meetings as required by management.
  • Mentor new team members and assist in their onboarding process within the claims department.
  • Participate in company-sponsored seminars and educational activities to maintain product knowledge and expertise, and engage in projects as requested by management.
About you
  • Experience in Claims Adjusting or as a Commercial Broker with a focus on Claims Advocacy.
  • RIBO, CAIB, CIP designations are advantageous or coursework completed towards these designations.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Insurance and/or Claims is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with EPIC and/or electronic filing systems is a plus.
