Duty Operations Manager

The Joint Cannabis is a dynamic and growing company with 11 locations in Winnipeg, offering a unique opportunity for a skilled Duty Manager to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Duty Manager position is a key role in our organization, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth execution of internal requests and projects. This position requires strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Designated Responsible Person In Charge while on shift
- Provide direction and support to team members, addressing questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Assist with employee recruitment, onboarding, promotion, retention, and termination activities
- Document all activities and provide regular reports to Management, informing important decisions for the district
- Action projects as directed by the Management team, serving as a liaison between teams
- Direct and assess workflow, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversight and coordination of ongoing internal requests and projects, breaking them down into manageable tasks and setting timeframes
- Communicate request/project status to all participants, monitoring progress and handling any issues that arise
- Create and maintain comprehensive request/project documentation, plans, and reports
- Meet regularly with Lead Management to stay up-to-date with organizational changes, issues, and improvements, and communicate these to other staff members
- Supervise the efficiency of all processes, proactively monitoring general operations and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training with team members, upholding company standards, policies, and health and safety standards
- Maintain a positive work environment, conducive to superior customer service
- Leadership and positive attitude
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Problem-solving skills and ability to delegate and take ownership
- Prior experience with Microsoft Word or Google Drive system is preferred
- Prior retail experience is preferred
- Prior leadership or management experience is a must
- Prior experience in the cannabis industry is an asset
- Competitive hourly rate of $19.50
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required
