Join Our Team as a 3D Technical Artist

Budge Studios is on the lookout for a talented and innovative 3D Technical Artist to enhance our creative team. This role involves collaborating with renowned children's brands, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between artistic vision and technical execution. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, meeting both budgetary and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement stunning visual effects, animations, and particle systems tailored for mobile gaming experiences.
  • Create optimized Shaders that bring artistic ideas to fruition while adhering to technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain efficient workflows and pipelines based on industry standards.
  • Document processes, tools, and pipelines comprehensively for team reference.
  • Prototype new features and provide detailed performance evaluations.
  • Conduct thorough research and testing to assess feature performance benchmarks.
  • Integrate various assets into Unity, including meshes, animations, and textures.

Throughout the production process, you will work closely with team members to uphold established standards, update documentation, troubleshoot any performance challenges, and offer training and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Modeler or Technical Artist within the gaming sector.
  • Familiarity with mobile game development and its unique challenges.
  • Proficient in 3D Max, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
  • Strong grasp of Unity and its functionalities.
  • Knowledge of After Effects, Visual Effect Graph, ShaderLab, or Amplify is advantageous.
  • A portfolio demonstrating expertise in VFX and particle systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as HLSL, GLSL, C#, JavaScript, Maxscript, or Python is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A creative, organized, and disciplined approach to work.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
