Job SummaryRutgers University seeks a highly skilled and experienced Neurointerventional Specialist to join our Department of Neurosurgery as a Clinical Director. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership direction for the training, education, and research activities of the department, while developing a strong national reputation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: Direct the training, education, and research activities of the Department of Neurosurgery, with a focus on developing a strong national reputation.
- Participate in Stroke and Endovascular Call: Collaborate with the stroke and endovascular team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Educate and Mentor: Educate and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students in neurosurgery and endovascular techniques.
- Develop and Maintain an Endovascular Practice: Establish and maintain a strong endovascular neurological practice, staying up-to-date with new discoveries and techniques.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to Academic and Research Efforts: Contribute to clinical, research, service, and education for the academic institution, publishing in medical journals and presenting at conferences.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as determined by the Chair in support of the Department of Neurosurgery.
- Board Certification: Board-certified in Neurology.
- Experience: Preference given to fellowship-trained candidates.
- Licensure: NJ licensed or eligible for licensure.
