Your daily contributions will include:

The individual in this position will oversee all facets of the investment cycle, encompassing business development, opportunity assessment leading to recommendations, negotiation and finalization of transactions, portfolio oversight, value enhancement initiatives, and risk management, all in accordance with Fondaction's capital allocation strategy and sustainable finance principles. Your daily responsibilities will be fulfilling if:

  • You are adept at relationship building. This ability will enable you to establish and nurture partnerships with investors, fund managers, and strategic allies whose investment goals align with Fondaction's capital allocation and sustainable finance strategy;
  • Your leadership is acknowledged by peers. You will spearhead proposed investment or reinvestment initiatives and their due diligence verification in collaboration with fund managers, strategic partners, and internal resources. You will also advise on financial structuring during various internal or external phases of co-investment transactions, ensuring adherence to the fund's policies, processes, and methodologies;
  • You can utilize your creativity and resourcefulness. This will be essential for executing potentially intricate investment transactions and negotiating their implementation with relevant stakeholders until completion;
  • You maintain a strong focus on detail. You will supervise portfolio companies, ensure compliance with agreements, and achieve the strategic objectives of the investment thesis alongside fund managers and strategic partners. You will also engage in evaluating outcomes and, when necessary, propose new alternatives or required adjustments.

In summary, through your leadership and meticulous attention to detail, you will significantly contribute to the seamless execution of all stages of the investment cycle and advocate for the implementation of Fondaction's co-investment initiatives.

  • Proven business development capabilities;
  • Negotiation skills tailored to various issues;

  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and practical knowledge of common software;
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Quebec region.
